About Manjari

manjari.jpg

Manjari was born in America in 1978. She first came to India in 1994 where she met her spiritual teacher, Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja. She later pursued her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies and Fine Art from the University of Oregon in the United States.

Returning to India in 2003, she continued her study of  language, painting, music, and bhakti yoga. While serving as managing director for a temple art installment project, she developed friendships with local artists and children  This inspired her to create CHARM (Children’s Art Mission), a non profit organization dedicated to bringing the arts and education to children in India.

For over a decade, Manjari has collaborated with other artists, musicians, and educators to share the art and heart of South Asian cultures with the public at large. She divides her time between India and America, singing kirtan and sharing the essence of Sanatan Dharma, or Bhakti Yoga, with everyone she meets.

  3. Hi Manjari – Same name as my daughter, a year older than you – which led me to your site. I love your blog – you are such a gifted artist and awesomely (is that a word?) talented writer and teacher. I enjoyed your piece on pencil shavings immensely. Last month, I was blessed to meet your guru-maharaja in toronto , while he was staying with my old and dearest friend, Sasvata.
My son, Jayananda, is also his disciple, and had wanted me to meet him for so long. It’s a gift to recieve the association of such exalted devotees of the Lord.
You are so blessed to have lived and studied in the land of the blessed, Vrndavan. Thank you for sharing your wonderful experiences. Your writing is sheer pleasure.
And thank you for your inspiration. It is a pleasure to have met you this way,
    Jai Radhe.

  5. When i met you (on 25th Oct 2008) and saw your painting… I could see the amount of devotion you have for Lord Krishna. There is no doubt that Srimati Radharani is very pleased with you and has given you shelter in the Holy Dham.

I was so amazed to see your painting, the intricacy, the beauty, the expressions etc… Thanks for going to goloka (in your meditation) and painting the beautiful Gopi Gita pastime.

and yes Thanks a lot for giving us a glimpse of the real spiritual world.

I wanted to click a picture of you with the painting, but i could not.

Hope to see you soon. Please come to Mumbai and feel free to stay at my home.

    YS
